It's a Prius in an attractive dress. I don't see why you should keep it from the kids.

Also, I want a performance version of this. I'd pay for one.

Someone messed that list up.

If I was Mr. Burns and my kid wanted that car, I might question his sanity but its not like I'd say no because it was unsafe for them...

Since when is the CT 200 a crossover?

I fully agree, but I just don't like the D pillar for some reason.

There is. The CT200H F-Sport.

It's probably one of the better cars to buy for your kid. Not that I would even think about this in the first place.

Since never. That's when. Never. Whoever came up with this list is an idiot and clearly has no idea what they're writing about.

Well, are there any functional gains with the F-Sport? IIRC, there aren't really. What I'd look for is a horsepower raise, any transmission that isn't a CVT, and a bit more aggressive handling.

The handling is more aggressive and it has a performance suspension. The hp you could do with an ECU upgrade. I'm at a loss on the transmission though. I suppose you could get the manual from a yaris and retrofit it in there.

Well, fair enough on a few of the points (although I don't think it's worth the price jump). Even if you did retrofit the manual from a Yaris, you'd probably lose the functionality from the hybrid drivetrain unless you're MacGuyver.

The car I'm buying for my kid's 16th will be non-running. He'll have two years to get it running.

Kidnap someone that worked on the Honda CRZ and ask them how they did it. You'll probably need to kidnap a translater too.

I've got a friend that could translate, so I'm half way there.

Maybe just because it is a really overpriced Prius? Damn kid will probably wreck it.
As the driver of a Challenger R/T I can say, that is the last car you want to give a kid!
